learning the Suzuki Method and has enjoyed playing the
violin for almost 20 years. She first started performing
actively in her church's worship band both playing the
violin and singing. Ms. Serrano has played hundreds of
concerts and shows with a wide range of musical genres,
including classical, jazz, celtic and popular music.
She has performed in the Solano County Youth Orchestra,
Solano Suzuki Strings, and in Peru's Trujillo Philharmonic
Orchestra. Amy recently served as concertmaster for Point
Loma Nazarene University's Orchestra from 2009-2011. Amy's
foremost joys and passions in the last eight years have been
teaching in her private
music
studio giving individual and group violin and viola
lessons. Her main music focuses are her two ensembles that
she plays with, the violin duo called Sensational String
Sisters, and her quartet
Sunset Strings.
Ms. Serrano is currently living in San Diego, working as an
Admission's Counselor at PLNU while working towards her
Master's degree in Business Administration. Her new work
offers traveling opportunities around California, which she
enjoys thoroughly. Amy is also expanding her musical career
by studying viola, piano, and voice. As an entrepreneurial
young professional, she has a small side
beauty business offering her services to weddings,
proms, and other parties.

REGINA BROWN
Born and raised in San Diego, Regina Brown began
playing the violin at the age of nine after being
inspired by a performance from a local middle school
orchestra. After only having group lessons with other
elementary school kids for a year, she started attending
a middle school orchestra in 5th grade. Regina continued
being actively involved in orchestral playing from
elementary school through high school, where she got her
first taste of session work with a well-known rock band.
After graduating, she continued on through her college
years at Point Loma Nazarene University, where she
earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and a minor in
Pre-Therapeutic Psychology.
She has been blessed to have worked with various
classical ensembles throughout San Diego as well as to
have delved into the local rock scene. She currently
teaches private music lessons, plays every Sunday for
church, and is heavily involved in session work and live
performances with talented local bands. |
